Getting Laid (off)
So, the job that I hate has given us all three weeks notice, at the end of which time we might have a small chance of getting re-hired with the company that's taking over. Probably at a pay cut. Possibly, also, with some lapse in work. Probably. Nothing is concrete except that we will be laid off.
I have mixed feelings, most of which are sad and worried. A small part of me is hopeful and the rest of me is mildly aroused for no particular reason other than I'm a dude.
All of this may be moot considering that the Large Hadron Collider will be switched on in a few days. I'm still torn between rooting for absolute destruction of the Earth or invasion by denizens of another dimension.
